Possessive adjectives (mon, ma, mes...)

Possessive adjectives ("my", "your", "his/her") agree with the noun they describe, not with the owner.

Examples: "C'est mon père." (This is my father.) · "Voici ma maison." (Here is my house.) · "Ce sont ses enfants." (Those are his/her children.)
Special rule: before a feminine word starting with a vowel sound, use mon/ton/son instead of ma/ta/sa for easier pronunciation: "mon amie" (my friend, feminine), not "ma amie".
Knowing the rule is not the same as producing it.
